Dance the Cat Daddy

Danz Street/ Cat Daddy

As “Teach Me How to Dougie” flew to the top of the charts, another group in LA was in the works of creating their own dance and song incorporating the West-coast “Dougie” movement. The ReJectz came out of NOWHERE, (literally), in 2010 having NO record deal or HUGE financial backing, and released a video on YouTube called “Cat Daddy” . This song hit the net and created immediate hype due to the odd but entertaining dance move resembling a person rolling themselves in a wheelchair and pushing their legs side to side as if they where broken. A nice cameo of Chris Brown doing the dance himself also didn’t hurt their hype either. With over 38 million views and counting, the world is still on its Cat Daddy/Dougie high even as we speak! I feel these new street dances are bringing back an important vibe that congested the 80′s & 90′s, with remixed House Party/ Criss Cross/ Fly Girls Universal dance moves where everybody, no matter who you are, can just dance, feel cool and have a good time.

Here is the steps how to dance the Cat Daddy:

Step 1:
Swing your right arm across to left side downwards. Then vice versa.

Step 2:
Do the wheel chair move.

Here's a video tutorial

**This is best danced with the Dougie moves.
